ABOUT ME

Hey,

I am fairly easy going and always looking for new experiences. Now that I have a stable job I am looking to travel more. I heard about this website / group a few years ago when I was at an undergraduate conference in Washington D.C.

I enjoy meeting new people. I think couch surfing is the perfect way to introduce people to a city and culture that they may not be used to. It is also the best way to be introduced to a city you are unfamiliar with! You can get tips on the hot spots to see and eat, what more can you ask!

When I travel I usually like walking around the city - outdoors is usually where the best things are at. There may be the occasional museum or landmark that I will stray indoors for. I love to eat my way across a city, it is definitely one of the best ways to experience the culture of a new city. It's always nice to meet locals though - that's how you find the hidden gems of city and truly get a feel for the what life in that city is about.

I have not validated, but if it is a sticking point, I may be willing to.

I am hoping to crash on some couches and let people crash on mine.

I'd be willing to give tours of Ottawa and let people know the hot spots (at least they are hot spots according to me :P)

It would also be pretty awesome meeting and getting to know people that live in different cities and cultures.
