I hate this question, always have. It always feels like selling myself. I aim to think more about others than myself, which does two things: fights self-absorbtion and makes the world a larger place.
"Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting--over and over announcing your place in the family of things." --Mary Oliver
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mostly staying with families. My last experience was in South Africa where a father and daughter took me to dinner and then, because they were amazed I had never eaten or seen a grenadilla, a little sweet and sour fruit, they spent the rest of the night driving me around trying to find a grenadilla.

Teach, Learn, Share
This is the reason for most of my current traveling. Africa (Mozambique specifically)and then London where I'll be living for a year. As an American, I think traveling is the best way to learn about the rest of the world.
