I'm an optimistic person with a good sense of humour. Will dance at the slightest excuse. Interested in lots of different things and people.
Everyone calls me Beehive, a nickname I have had since primary school.
To be brave and honest, make the most of everything, never give up laughing or dancing. To achieve something good every day. Ultimately to leave the world better and fairer than it was before. Also, rock and roll.
Now, if I could only get out of bed on time...
Rock music; left-wing politics; puns; Scouting/Guiding; eating; public transport; drawing; language learning; being outdoors. But I have plenty of friends who like none of these things :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Punk (Ramones, Cramps, Buzzcocks, Damned); 50s rock'n'roll; the glam bit of Britpop (Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Pulp); some metal (Rammstein, Anthrax, Metallica); 90s rave music. Other things too. Currently listening to a lot of Bruce Springsteen. I used to play drums in a glam/punk band, and also like to sing, particularly rockabilly/50s stuff.
My favourite author is George Orwell. I love to talk about books; the last five books I read were:
Bill Bryson- Down Under
Saul Alinsky- Rules for Radicals
Virginia Woolf- The Waves
William Gibson- Neuromancer
Robert Tressel- The Ragged-Trousered Philanthrophists
I seem to not have seen many movies in my life, but my favourites so far are Mean Girls, The Lives of Others, and The Room. I have seen every episode of the West Wing, mostly more than once. I also like stupid 80s horror or comedy movies.
