About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To obtain international experiences.

ABOUT ME

Hello earthlings!

I'm Caytie, a 21 year old artist with a love for culture and an inner eagerness to see the world. I live on a small, beautiful island by the sea where rain is abundant, but my love for it outweighs the need for umbrellas. I work as a Barista at a local coffee roaster. I make artisan coffee for caffeine lovers all around. I love chatting with the locals and travelers that stop in the coffee shop, and I'm constantly inspired by their stories. The intricacy of humans never ceases to amaze me.

I like to see the beauty in life. My idea of fun is writing hair-brained poems, frolicking in beautiful scenery, speaking about philosophy and beliefs, dancing (lots of dancing!) being goofy, being serious, having balance, giggling and being creative. Finding like minded people, those I like to call "kindred spirits"~overall I try to maintain a healthy, positive outlook on everything that comes my way, even if the ride gets tumultuous, there is still insight and strength gained from times of struggle.

PHILOSOPHY

Love and compassion make the world spin.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently have been perusing the world of couchsurfing, and I have to say, it seems like a really effective way to meet new people that have common interests and a love for traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't yet couchsurfed, but I look forward to the experiences to come!

Interests

art, music, laughs and good company

Music, Movies & Books

I enjoy movies, but I prefer to spend my time being inspired by friends or experiencing the outdoors, rather than sitting in front of a screen for two hours. My brain always feels mushy afterwards.

As for books, some of my favorites include: siddhartha, into the wild, anything by walt whitman or ralph waldo emerson, neruda etc

One Amazing Thing I've Done

braved living alone with a crazy cat

Countries I've Visited

Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
