About Me

ABOUT ME

I am from Venezuela, but I have been living in Berlin for four years. I think I try to be a honest. I am kind of idealistic and sensitive.
In Berlin, I am currently doing a Bachelor in Social and Cultural Anthropology and Spanish Philology. I really love learning languages. To learn ancient Greek kind of changed my life.
I am a bit obsessed with cooking and love to try to cook dishes that I have never tried before.

Berlin is an awesome city and there are many advantages of living here and I would love to show people those. On the other hand, I have been missing the atmosphere of small towns, the hot weather and nature; that's why I try my best to leave Berlin from time to time, especially direction to the South!

I have developed a thing for history and politics and love talking about it with people that are also interested. Don't worry, I will try not to torture you with that :)
I dream of course to travel for a long time and learn some skill that can finance my trip like making some jewelry or magic- :)

PHILOSOPHY

Security in life is an illusion.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

surfing and letting others surf my couch, participating in some CS meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had really beautiful experiences hosting in Mérida, Venezuela and in Berlin. I have hosted around 30 people and it was one of the best times of my life and I am happy to say that many of my guest became my friends!
Have been hosted quite a few times and I am very grateful

Interests

Traveling and hitchhiking. Languages, cooking, food, coffee, music from everywhere, DANCE, LOVE, drums, piano, sliwowica, POETRY and loving dark sense of humor :P

Music, Movies & Books

I love poetry, greek tragedies and the old Dostoyewski. :) I love the book "the Master and the Margarite".
Movies: i love Kurosawa and Miyazaki, Buñuel and Bergman, Lynch and the Coen brothers, Kusturica and Kieslowski and many more!
"Man facing southeast", "Babette's feast", "La planète sauvage", "Shame", "Amores perros" and "Tous les matins du monde" are some of my favorites movies.

I like the music I can feel like a lot of latino things: salsa, cumbia, Rita Indiana, but I adore music from the Balkans! Of course, Radiohead is ok and I like Beirut very much. I'm not much though into the minimal-electro thingy but I can dance to it.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Watching a torment in the choppy sea at night, the sky all cover with stars in Mexico.

Riding a horse and falling down.

Waking up everyday at 5am in the morning.

Long nights, long nights.. awake all night reading Chinese Lao Tse and Saint John

Threw a window out of a window and destroyed a car with it :(

Surprised by a giant IGUANA!!

Biting my friend's nose.

Street fighting

Sleeping beside a frozen lake in the middle of nowhere

Guča trompet festival in Serbia

Camping in a paradisiacal deserted beach in Turkey

Riding a camel :(

I could teach an introduction to the art of salsa dancing. ;)
Besides, I would love to cook some Venezuelan food.
