ABOUT ME

I'm Céline and I live in Belgium. I am a student. I did my bachelor in translation and interpretation, and I am currently doing a master in multicultural communication.

But, what I really want to do is to travel and discover the world. That is why languages are very important to me, because when I'll be done with my studies, I'll be able to travel anywhere and find a job at the place I'm staying.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have an experience yet on couch surfing.

But in 2008, I hosted an exchange student from America for a year and it was a wonderful experience! Then, I decided to go to America with him and lived in his family for a year too. So I know what it is to host and how to be a good surfer.

Centres d'intérêt

I love learning languages, discovering new cultures and new people. I love changes. In fact, I think what I'm searching for is sensations.

I also very attracted by extreme sports. I already scuba dived, skydived and bungee jumped. I would really like my next experience to be parapenting.
Skydive - bungee jumping: I love the way that you feel when you are falling without your parachute on, nothing holds you anymore, you feel completely free.
Scuba-dive: I just feel good in water. I love swimming in the ocean or the sea.

And my other interests are the common ones: listening to music, watching movies, going out with friends, etc.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

- In 2003, I went to Burkina Faso in a humanitarian trip. We visited several extremely poor villages. And although, those kids didn't have anything (they often could not manage to go to school, sometimes had to walk kilometers to find water), the thing I will never forget is the smile they kept on their faces no matter what, and the way they hosted us.

- My year abroad in California without knowing the language nor anyone there.

- Hiking the Grand Canyon, I nearly passed out but finally made it out!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Travelling is such a fulfilling experience in which you automatically learn a lot of things. The culture of the country you're in, the habits of the people you meet, you can also learn or teach languages. And most importantly share your experience with others.
