To complete my Korean bucket list
My friends would probably say that I am out going, inquisitive, kind, head strong, independent, laid back with a whole lot of fun, laughter and craziness thrown in. A liking to have a good conversation, and a beer. But it's all about the 'craic'!
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes- Gandhi.
And the craic is very important also. (Craic is an irish word for atmosphere, or feeling)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
one for all and all for one?!
0, but my house mate used to do it all the time, and it was so much fun!
I love to travel and experience different cultures and get into situations that make wonderful stories. Going to a new country or even a new city and have the feeling of being helpless and having to fend for yourself and challenging yourself is exhilarating. I also like to relax by reading a book- usually something that's non fiction. From History to economics. I have many interests in a lot of things, and I really like sitting around sharing opinions and have a bit of a laugh. I like to paint, and play traditional Irish fiddle (violin) and get lost on walks. Taking life easy is important and being happy.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all types of music, but not so keen on Jazz or blues.
Books would consist of any non fiction books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The thing I remember as if it was yesterday is watching the sun rise in the Isla del, Sol in Bolivia. It was freezing, and I was staying in one of the most awful hostels I can remember, but it was totally worth it!
The second would be playing with some street kids in Vietman, where some tourists were taking flash photos and walking away from them. I played some games with them, they were so cute, and excited and loved looking at photos of themselves on my camera. Just before I left, they gave me some sweets- that really touched my heart. Most likely the only sweets they had!
In India, being in the Thar Desert sleeping under the stars and learning that we were with one of the last Maharaja in India and that an older group member was a missionary and used to gun run for the Tibetan Army.
