At 32yrs young I am currently looking again at myself and my life and looking for my middle path. I love everything creative and I see creativity in everything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None through this organisation, but plenty of experience sleeping on couches and mucking in.

Japanese culture in its broadest sense, though my particular interests lye in calligraphy, sumi-e, pottery, cooking, photography, gardens and zen!

Music, Movies, and Books

Action adventure, comedy, romance or arthouse movies. Everything from Prince, Pink Floyd and Paul Weller to Sting, Massive Attack and Coldplay. Mainly I buy design and photographic books, but for reading material I go for cultural and/or historical fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving over the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Being visited by a grey shark whilst night diving over the Great Barrier Reef. Seeing a sperm whale sleeping. Seeing sand stolen in the Maldives. Drinking Yak Butter Tea in China. Getting married!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English cooking (baking cakes, cooking a roast dinner and making desserts)
Learn: sumi-e, calligraphy, japanese cooking, pottery, how to run a small business (cafe/hostel)
Share: my experience of working as a graphic designer in London and then quitting to travel around the world for a year. my photographs of the trip.
