About Me

Exploring the world!

I grew up on National Geographic magazines. I've always been enthralled at the wonders of this world. Only until recently when I graduated from university and had a good-paying job that I realized I could actually visit these amazing places myself. I am very curious about the world and how it all works, I find excitment in trying to understand the fundamentals of life. I hope I find people along my travels to help me better understand life, myself, and the world around me.

I live my life to learn about the world around me, and thus help me understand the meaning of it all. Along the way I like to enjoy the experience too and just soak it all in! But I do have a very strong sense of personal responsibility in hopes that I can be a world leader some day to make great changes in this world. My philosophy would be to lead by example.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for a couch in South Africa!
But in the meantime I'm here in Boulder, Colorado and once I get past my preliminary exams I will be happy to join in the community more for those Sunday evening gatherings!

I have never done this couch-surfing before, but am very eager to try and join such a caring, creative, and interesting community.

I am interested in almost everything I can think of, but my strength of background is in aerospace engineering. One day I want to build an outpost on the moon; in this day in age, its not impossible (we have the technology), but perhaps improbable (we don't quite have the money).

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings (I love the author's beauitiful lyrical prose -at least in some parts).
Harry Potter series (It's fun to read over and over again, it's like brain candy).
I listen to any music (except maybe smooth jazz, something about it makes me really restless and uptight).
Jurrasic Park -the movie is a classic (always scary and very graphic, but somehow the realness of the dinosaurs comes alive and gets my imagination going).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've seen in my life is the launch of the space shuttle. It lights me up from my mind to my soul and reminds me how amazing humanity is to create such incredible machines.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about the basics of aerospace engineering and specifically about what to consider when you need to design a spacecraft for humans!
