I'm living in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecuture, Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) on the JET programme. I've lived here for almost a year and will leave here for about 1 or 2 more.

I joined Couchsurfing as a means to get that chance to travel more doing so from a more immersive perspective with locals from said areas. Hearing stories from my friends about the interesting people they've met and the unique experiences they've had has pushed me to make a profile and try this out a bit.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

When I was about 22 years old, I hiked up my first mountain with a 50lb.(22.5kg) pack to camp overnight near the top of the mountain. During the hike, I wanted to give up about 20 times as my legs became sore and the sun beat down on my back. Looking back on it, I was carrying too many useless things. However, I made it to the campsite with my friend and has since been a huge accomplishment of mine.

I can always share about many stories of working with children in a preschool/kindergarten, as a play therapist after college, and right now as I teach English in Japan.
