Traveling SE Asia, just arrived in Hanoi to stay for awhile and work
I'm a seasoned traveler who only just recently got back out on the road. Spent a good 12 years or more living in Brooklyn NY.
I've lived for more than a year each abroad in France, Germany, Taiwan and Czech Republic. I've worked in Event Production, Teaching, Management, Cook, Personal Assistant, as a Musician and spent a number of years as a Massage Therapist. Guess you could say I'm "experience driven" and not a "careerist" - hope that doesn't sound flakey because I actually love to work, be busy, a job well done, involved in community through work etc.
I'm glad to be traveling Asia again. Just spent 2 months in Thailand riding my motorcycle in the mountains and staying at a Forest Monestary practicing meditation. Amazing! Currently looking to get settled in Hanoi for a time. Loving it here so far!
Its all good
More specifically, I find the core teachings of Buddhism pretty awesome.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm the type that always hosts people on my couch just through the grapevine - I never joined Couchsurfing in NY as there was already a string of visitors on my couch - traveling musicians, people new to the city etc. Now that I'm traveling myself again I'm looking forward to meeting people this way myself.
Music, Art, telling and hearing great stories, Language, History, amazing positive life affirming people and experiences...
