ABOUT ME

My name is Chantal Johnston. I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in San Diego California US I am full white with bits of German. I am 5'2" light skin with green eyes and brown curly hair. I grew up with my father, mother and older brother in the same house that my mother grew up in. My family host international exchange students in our spare bed room. The students we host come from all over the world and I greatly enjoying learning about their cultures through stories they have shared.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couchsurffing. I look forward to using this site while I travel through Europe the next three and a half months. October 1- January 13, 2014. when I come back I am sure I will want to help other travelers out the way others will help me on my journey.

Interests

I enjoy traveling and being adventurous as well as trying new things.
I love outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, going to the beach
Other interest of mine include:
being creative (drawing, painting, sewing)

Movies: The Butterfly Effect, Donnie Darco, Step Brothers, The Boy In The Stripped Pajamas, The Strangers.

Music:Music is a huge part of my life. I love listening to lyrics and getting lost in the music. Going to conerts is one of my favorite things to do. I would love to travel and see a variety of concerts along the way.
Types of music I enjoy:
I love 60s 70s rock: The Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, so on

I also really enjoy bands such as: Devendra Banhart,Sparklehorse, Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Arcade Fire, The Shins, Corey Johnston, The Black Keys, The Flaming Lips, Veronica Falls, Sea Wolf...
So many bands.

Books: I don't read all too much but when I do I enjoy books that tell a real life story or books that make you think and give someone a better perspective of life.
