ABOUT ME
I'll make a list of facts that shape who I am:
I believe that spending time with others and good conversation is the meaning of life (or at least the only way to give life any meaning).
I live to eat, not eat to live.
I'm the oldest of seven children.
I've been in love with the same woman since I was 16, and I love her more each day.
I am at home when I am in motion.
PHILOSOPHY
I only feel alive when I am sharing a moment with another person. Something about being in the presence of another life gives me an awareness of my own life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to surf right now, until I have a home of my own. I grew up in a house with an open-door policy, and when I have my own place one day, I plan to live by the same principle. Let's just hope I live in a place interesting enough that people care to visit.
In exchange for letting me surf at your place, I promise my big smile, good conversation, and I can even cook or play guitar and sing a song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in rural Mexico on a farm for one month with an elderly couple--the parents of a migrant worker I befriended in the US. My Spanish was quite poor when I went, the pueblo had no plumbing and rarely electricity, and the work was hard on the farm. It was one of the best months of my life.
