I like to consider myself my old fashioned southern gentleman who, by way of modern conveniences, ended up in the big city. After a stint in a military, I pursued an education in management & technology. This led to a life in the corporate world where my career has taken me all over. When I'm not working I like to explore and mingle among local cultures. I love a good story - both hearing and creating them. I also enjoy watching rugby (because I'm too old to play now).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having traveled a fair bit, I find that shared/hosted accommodation is more engaging and enlightening than merely staying in a hotel.

I have a fondness for the music and movies of the 80s since I'm part of that generation. I have a pretty good knowledge of what has since been labeled "new wave" music.

While I really enjoy John McClain, Riggs & Murtaugh and Snake Pliskin, I also like Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby & Bob Hope.
