About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to get the hell out of here, travel while I'm still young enough to be crazy, and enjoy life before (God forbid) a time ever comes where I have to calm down.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a very small, resort-y town right on Lake Huron (one of the Great Lakes). I moved to Grand Rapids to go to college, and spent most of those years not so much in class, but enjoying everything anyway. I moved back up to my hometown to make some money, and start working on becoming a firefighter...but I want to start travelling in the next few months, because I think I've got just about forever to have a career.
PHILOSOPHY
I rarely listen to anyone's advice, and so far it's kept me pretty happy. I try to keep flexible, because "man plans, God laughs," right? I don't know, I try to do something that scares me everyday, and hopefully things stay interesting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't know, I just joined today.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My senior year in high school, I moved out of my parents house and spent a lot of time on friends' couches. I loved the freedom of it, hanging out with everyone and really getting to know them. I know, it's lame, but hey, I'm just starting to get it together.

Music, Movies, and Books
ALL music, but Eve 6, Rob Zombie, Flogging Molly, 3 Days Grace, Relient K, Brand New in general.
I love action or horror movies the most, House of 1000 Corpses, Equilibrium, Cable Guy, Gone in 60 Seconds, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Ace Ventura, Tommy Boy, Devil's Rejects.
Anything by Stephen King is great, but I also love biographies, and V.C. Andrews. Not the new stuff, the old stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It doesn't sound like much, but the night before I graduated, I went with some friends to the falls near our hometown, and we went skinny dipping in the middle of a huge thunderstorm. It was hands down, the greatest night of my life.
The firefighter thing is pretty nuts too. I passed a written exam with aboslutely NO knowledge when I first decided to become a FF, and it rocked my world. But hey, I'm still young, and I look forward to many, many more memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think people I could learn the most from are people who genuinely enjoy life. I don't want to set out to learn something, I'd like to pick up what knowledge I can along the way.
