ABOUT ME

My name is Chelsea. I'm a human. Right now I am a full time student. Ima be honest, I need a place to stay for a full 10 days. I am respectful. I will provide all my own food and would love to cook meals for you also. I have worked as a housekeeper for the past 4 years and would love to clean. I know how to make things spotless from floor to ceiling. I will even wake up early to declutter your living space for the mornings, and I dont have to spend all day at your place, I can leave when you do. I can even give you 100 dolars as "rent" for the 10 days I stay :) I'm a creative person. I like color, and variety. I'm enjoying the east coast so far. The snow is amazing, its like glitter falling from the sky. Absolutly beautiful.

PHILOSOPHY

My life is a gift, an opportunity. I believe that since I am loved by the King I should live with thanks being given to the One who is allowing me to breathe. My being exists to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind because He loves me. And I am to love others as myself. I am to put others needs before my own. I am to put His will before my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch/floor surfed in the past without the use of this web site. I moved from Crescent City to Arcata California in 2010. While I was trying to get an apartment with 2 of my friends we all couch/floor surfed at a friend’s apartment for a bit over a month. I have also entertained couch/floor surfers in my apartment before I came to school.

Interests

I love crafts, dancing, hiking, scuba, the beach, the river, the redwoods, gardening, and riding my bike. I also really enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: foreign films, documentaries, and Bollywood.
Music: reggae, dub-step, ska, folk, world, classic rock, tribal fusion, and just about anything that plays on npr. I also enjoy listening to rap because of the poetic aspects of it.
Books: I feel like reading gives me words to express concepts that I would never be able to on my own. Lately I have been reading the Bible, Be Here Now, The Freedom of Self Forgetfulness, and Reclaiming the Urban Family. My favorite genres for reading would be biographies, philosophy, religion, poetry, classical literature, self-improvement, and economics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say camping with my friends near the lagoons in Humboldt. During the night we swam in the bioluminescent water which glowed green when we disturbed it and dried off in front of the fire. Then we woke up to the sun rising over the ocean and the mountains meeting the ocean. There was also a white crane that flew past right as we were waking up staring at the beauty. The sound of the ocean is unlike anything else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good at crafts. I can teach how to make unique hemp jewelry, cooking, baking, paper making, book binding, sewing and caligraphing. I also do a lot of fabric painting. I am willing to learn anything. I have always wanted to learn how to knit, and maintain a bike better. I can share jewelry I have made, stories, cleaning abilities, cooking, baking, yard work, ear piercing, and love.
