ABOUT ME

I just graduated with my Masters degree and my feet couldn't be any more itchy. I plan to spend this summer traveling the country, meeting new people, and seeing beautiful things.

I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about a few things. I love astronomy and the stars and have spent many an afternoon marveling in the glory of the Hayden Planetarium. I love to read just about anything. I've managed to become an amateur guitar player, thanks to the help of many YouTubers. I love to travel, meet new people, explore new cities, and bask in the beauty of nature. I am most happy when embarking on a new adventure.

I've just fallen into this community as of late...I plan to spend the summer traveling and then, once I get settled back in the city, will hopefully begin hosting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I am a Jersey girl at heart and an avid Bruce Springsteen lover. That man has a piece of my soul. I am also helplessly in love with Joni Mitchell, Glen Hansard, The National, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Neutral Milk Hotel, Stephen Still, Beirut, and Bon Iver.

I love to read just about anything but, as of late, I've taken a special interest in memoirs. Maybe it's because I'm so nosy - who knows? Recent favorites are: The Glass Castle, Marbles, I am not Myself These Days, The Gold Finch, and The Book Thief.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent an entire day riding my bike all around Inis Mor, on the Aran Islands. It was one of the most beautiful, liberating days of my life. I've watched snow fall on the Eiffel Tower, and got to lay beneath the most glorious view of the Milky Way while camping in Maine last summer.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play the guitar on its most basic levels, and pack a suitcase like a tetris all-star ;)

I'd love to learn just about anything that anyone has to offer. Teach me how to play an instrument, something about our universe, or a book I've never read and you'll make a best friend for life.
