About Me

enjoy my gap year in nz try different things enjoy outdoor activities

When I was a child, I had a lot of dreams, being a zoologist, being a pirate sailing in the sea and discovery the treasure, being a knight that fight with a dragon to rescue the princess lol and being an explorer traveling around the world.

These childish dream are the motivation that makes me want to try new things, get new eperiences and travel as much as i can.

I love travelling, tramping, climbing and any other outdoor activities.

I think the meaning of travelling is not simply go to another place and take photos, but to talk with local people and experience different life style. The most important is in the jounery you can find another self, know yourself better.

I define myself as laid back, easy going and somehow crazy(that means i can bring you lots of laughing and fun)... I am not very talktive, actually you might think i am quite shy at first. But if you know me for longer, you will find I do talk a lot.

In 2009 summer,I teach as a volunteer in romote countryside in Hunan with 12 American friends, which is the best time in my life. I learnd what is real help and learnd to give from my children.

In 2011 summer, I began my couchsurfing experience in the USA. I worked in seafood factory in Alaska and then traveled for 40 days. The beauty of Alaska is unbelievable! I meet tons of nice people there which continue touch me till now.

I graduate from university and having a gap year in New Zealand called working holiday now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew it from a documentary called Hitchhike to Berlin.

Try it in Anchorage first and then fall in love with couchsurfing.

I am a greenhand in CouchSurfing.

In Anchorage, I start my CS on Matt's home who is a very nice guy.

Then I met Zeke from CS who I traveled for several days. The days I spend with Zeke means a lot to me.
When I travel with Zeke in Kenai, we stay with another CSer Kevin.
Stay with Kevin and his wife(Sorry I dont know how to spell it...) and their friend Brain are exciting. Kevin and Brain told me how to kayaking and it is one of the best thing I've do in Alaska.

In Juneau, I spend a day with Stamati(Tony), we had a great talk and both of us enjoy the time we spend. He also showed me around the glacier. I spend another day with Keith who is so nice to pick me up in the ferry terminal. I wish I can be more outgoing and talk to him more because he is a really cool guy that I always want to know.

I met Dan and Annika from CS and we travelled to Denali NP which is beyond awesome! This is a trip that I never thought I would be. We spend 3 wonderful days together which makes me so happy and always feel the time passed so quickly. Leave them really makes me feel sad.

Then I go to Seattle, where I spend 4 wonderful days with my host Chris and his ex-couchsurfer Nara. Chris is a great host, cook very well and show me around everyday after 3pm he finish the work.

I took MEGA bus from Minneapolis to NYC, I spend 3 days in Chicago, 6 hours both in Toledo and Pittsburg, 3 days in Phill. All the way I go couchsurfing, met very nice people.

This was an amazing experience that I will treasure forever. And also, this will change my life, I learn a lot from this journey.

i enjoy nice food, bottles of beer and good companion.

i am little crazy about traveling

also into all kinds of ports, rock climbing, caving, tramping, mountaineering, soccer, tennis... although i am not good at sports

When I go kayaking with Kevin, I fall off the water... It was amazing because I found myself keep dry in the drysuit. And I start swimming after I get ride off the kayake... Kevin did his frist resecue...
