ABOUT ME

I've been saving for this trip for 18 months, and now finally enjoying the fruits of my labor. I'm super friendly, conversational and passionate about music and film and can get locked into discussions on politics and social consciousness..definitely a lefty and interested in all things 'underground'.I like to experience new things, have fun but live well. Ive been a jeweler, worked in aromatherapy and event management and studied interior design. Currently on hiatus from my job at the Brisbane City Council. Also my boyfriend is a film director and we are going to Cannes this year. I see alot of live music in my spare time.

None at the moment, Im a babe in the woods. But in my own home a run a tight ship, clean and thoughtful and full of fun and I appreciate homes with some effort,love and thought put into them too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like - Tom Waits, Blondie, PJ Harvey, Spiritualised, Nick Cave. Dylan, Also just lots of britpop, Stones Roses, Smiths, 70's Psychedelic, The Cramps, Devo, Johnny Cash, The Clash, David Bowie, Pixies, Sonic Youth. Soft spots for Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen.
Films i like - Anything by the Cohen brothers and Paul Thomas Anderson, Kubrik (of course)...tend toward well made indie films but am no stranger to watching quality crap stuff. I like the high brow and the low low brow.

Authors - Graham Green, Will Self...Milan Kundera (the unbearable lightness of being) Oscar Wilde...All the Beat writers of the 60's...Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Shantaram...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled around the world but i guess the most random thing is I lived in London for 3 years in the house Pink Floyd used to live in in the 60's. That was pretty cool. Also I'm Australian, so not surprising I've had a run in with some deadly spiders, 4 of them actually. Involved an ambulance and life saving anti-venom

Teach, Learn, Share

Im a great cook, tend towards Moroccan and Mexican..mostly from scratch. Could do with learning some spanish and if anyone has the patience to share their knowledge of Wordpress I wouldn't say no..
