Overview
About Me
I grew up in Vietnam with parents whom both work for an airline company. Therefore, almost wherever they travel to, I was able to tag along. I love traveling since then.
I am now studying abroad in a small college town in Iowa, US, majoring in Psychology.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling has been one of my passion for such a long time but I'm currently on a college student budget, therefore, Couchsurfing would be an economical way of traveling.
Since coming to the US, i have made friends all around the world. Talking to the international students, I realized there are much more about traveling than just visiting tourist attractions. It is more about experiencing and appreciating the local's culture. Just as many people say, "traveling forms a young man", i travel to learn more about the world, to explore my own person.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is pretty broad, ranging from blues, jazz, 80s rock, heavy metal to different kinds of folk music.
Movies are my passion, especially when they are about murder mysteries, psychological thriller or science fiction.
My favorite book so far is The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. Growing up in the North of Vietnam, the book was the first time I've read about the Vietnam war from an US veteran perspective.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chanting for 5 hours in a cave in the middle of January in front of a Buddha statue.
