About Me

Im living one year in China, Chongqing.

I graduated in cinema studies, in Paris. I didnt finish my master degree and began learning chinese.
The time when I could host with my roomates is over, I am now living in China and dont know how its gonna be when I come back to France this summer.

We used to host a lot of touring rock bands, so, I know about hosting and surfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The point is to travel with a really open minded philosophy. That's how I had such great times in Iran.

Ive been surfing from 2011 (China), then did it in Europe, began hosting, went through whole Iran thanks to CS, surfed again in China and did Iran again, one full month this time. (You wont see many references here because lots of my friends send me to their own friends house or cancelled their account. The iranian police isnt a big fan of Couchsurfing.)

Meeting in their own country some people that you hosted before is a special feeling.

CS is the best way of travelling , and obviously not for the money matter.

i was lucky enough to work as a film critic so... :

Music, Movies, and Books

I am REALLY into cinema and always ready to get into a fight for it. No joke. My favorite directors are Kiarostami, Godard, Fuller, Vecchiali, Bozon, P.Tam, Minnelli, K.Kurosawa, Guiguet, Z.Ming, Sirk, Yang, S.Ray, Fassbinder...

I mostly listen to rock and its sub-genres.
I'm actually into Scott Walker, Sun Ra, Ground Zero, Aphex Twin, Elliott Smith, Pavement, Swans, ZS. Also, I really like cambodian music.

check this out :

Books : Melville, Celine, Mishima, you get it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

this goddamn twelve hours long train with no seats.
Also I really liked spending iranian new year in Shiraz.
Almost died in the chinese moutain because of thunder, wasnt cool at all.
Accomplished my cinephilic goals in Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to learn about every culture.
I can tell you about french society and hongkong cinema golden era, but maybe you don't care.
Actually, i'm trying to learn some stupid facts like "where is the biggest place in the world ? where is the smallest escalator ? etc" I think i can be a good way to travelling : I went to Iran just with the idea of buying a specific DVD.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Montenegro, Netherlands, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
