To embrace life, and change the world, even in a small way
I am an avid wanderer. I move from state to state in the US and spend every extra dime I have on going new places. I'm in the process of finishing my undergraduate degree in Ecology and bio-statistics. I have a passion for all things wild and off the beaten path. Animals are my one and only real love! Especially birds, I work avian research in Wilmington and spent the summer in Peru doing just that (conservation research) in the jungle. I really seek to embrace what I have and get the most out of this beautiful life.
All good things are wild and free
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately all of my extra funds go toward paying for school and travel, and so I currently live with my parents in Wilmington! So I have no couch to offer at the time sadly
I have only used couchsurfing once so far in Washington DC and I was so happy with my experience!
Travel, conservation, running, animals, soccer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helping pin a 7ft caiman by throwing myself on top of it in knee deep black muddy water in the middle of the night while helping with crocodilian research in Madre de Dios, Peru.
Watching a humpback whale breech the water and come crashing down less than ten feet away in Monterey Bay, CA
Seeing a mother elephant and its calf twine trunks affectionately as the sun set in Pilansberg National Park in South Africa
Feeding a wild maccaw brazil nuts in Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Gazing out over Lucerne, Switzerland as the sun rose on New years day from the peak of Mount Rigi.
