I'm 28 years old, and work and live full time in Edmonton as an industrial radiographer. Generally enjoy going to concerts, going rock climbing/bouldering, and finding excuses to get outdoors!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to travel more this upcoming fall (Japan, Spain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and India are in my crosshairs), and beyond the obvious reason of finding new friends to host me wherever I may end up, I know how lonely it can be to travel, how valuable a local's perspective can be, and how much of a pain it can be to find a place to stay at times. It would be awesome to connect with people from around the world, and learn a bit about their culture!

Interests

Music is at the forefront of my passions. I listen to a very wide variety of music, pretty much 24/7. I've tried to go to concerts as much as possible since I was 14 years old (first ever concert was Finch, where I broke my nose in the moshpit--mom was not happy!), and have worked at a couple festivals doing everything from stagehand work to production.

I love being active! All sports, hiking, rock climbing, or just walking around.

And I'm a massive hockey fan. Perhaps one of the biggest you'll meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Four years of work in forestry, primarily tree planting and surveying in northern BC. Although it was a job, it really opened me up to experiences with people from all over the world, incredible wildlife, and just how incredibly beautiful and untouched Canada can be. There's nothing quite like having a raincloud roll away leaving you to suddenly realize you're planting trees on top of a mountain surrounded by other mountains, valleys, and lakes).
