About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Be Eaten ALIVE By Barcelona!

ABOUT ME

I am a student who is in love with different cities...I'm just tired of seeing the same old things! I am Colombian-American, but my relatives all think I'm a gringo, oh well I'll live. Anything else? I have dabbled in a few different sports, and I like trying new things. Rugby, Futbol, Fencing, and some Tennis are what I've done lately. Love reading about new places, then actually seeing them.

PHILOSOPHY

The Worst Thing Anyone Can Tell You Is Know, So It Never Hurts To Ask. Ever. What Have You Got To Loose? The only stupid questions are the ones you never ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am completely new to CouchSurfing, but the idea sounds awesome. I never minded staying in Hostels, but i always felt they where a little isolated and like a doctor's office lobby...people just go in and out and say hello, they don't really get to know you or you them. I am currently about to travel so I don't have a couch, but the minute I return to my college, there will be one more couch to surf in the DC Metro Area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a pretty big and spread out family. I grew up couch surfing at relatives houses that I only met that night. I also grew up moving around the Atlantic U.S. and spend time on old friend's couches when I go back to places I lived. Its great because whenever they come to town, Ive got pillows, couch, and sheets ready and drinks to pour!

Interests

I really would like to travel (like everyone else right?) I am an events manager, but it is not a big important job...just setting up conferences for academics. I really want to start working parties and clubs, get my hands dirty in events! I am also crazy about learning languages; Ive got Spanish and some Italian down, but am having trouble with Russian...it is not as easy as James Bond made it look. Nastarovya!

Music, Movies, and Books

Travel, food, new ideas, russian space programs, anything about culture like anthropology, any music that i could listen to at a party and relax, lounge, some dub, no country, local anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up on a hammock hung up in a coconut grove to 9 foot waves breaking on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, ready to surf.

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked in a hardware store in high school, I know how to fix things around a house. I can show anyone how to fix a flat tire, a leaking faucet, a wobbly table, a broken light fixture, a ripped window screen. Handymanlyness!

Also, learning how to say No in life and learning how to ask a lot of questions!
