ABOUT ME

Easygoing, cheerful. Moved to Belleville, Ontario, CANADA and really enjoying life here. The wineries, breweries, cheesemaking and maple places were a total bonus.

I do NOT live near New York City, it's 10 hours away (not sure why I keep getting messages from people looking to stay in New York, so you know why, please message and enlighten me :)

I'm always happy to host, you can come and go as you please if I'm at work. If you arrive in the evening, please plan dinner for yourselves. You're welcome to use my kitchen and the stuff I've got there, or bring your own food.

If you stay with me, you've got the choice of the whole basement with full bathroom, or upstairs smaller bedrooms with bathroom.
All bedding and towels are available.
For those that need laundry, if you can finish it during your stay, you're welcome to use it.
I've got the local tourist maps- winery map, brewery map, etc.
I live about 2.5km from the train station. Local bus stops 1 block from my house. Parking available on driveway.

Nearest winery is a 25 minute drive.
Sandbanks is a 55-minute drive.

Children are welcome. So are cats and dogs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Loved using it few years ago when I was backpacking. Now that I've moved and have space to host guests, thought I'd return the favour. All the wonderful hosts I had inspired me

Interests

Travelling, hiking, singing, playing the piano, gorging on chocolate. In fact, I love food in general. If I've never had it before (and it's dead), I will order it. The more foreign, the better.

Like many, I like a variety of music. But my niche is 1930-1950's musical movies. Nowadays I'll watch anything though, foreign, old new, dubbed, subtitled, etc.
