I'm half Japanese, half Ukrainian Jew and grew up between London and Tokyo (not geographically, otherwise I would've just said "somewhere in the Russian countryside"). I'm socially liberal and open-minded, because I couldn't be one without the other.

Most of my income come from freelance writing, but I also work in comedy, helping run comedy nights etc, and the latter is where my passions lie.

Love One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Michael Ondaatje's English Patient is also up there. Big fan of Murakami as well, and, in spite of myself and everything I believe in, Bukowski's not a bad writer either, especially his poems. It's just his views which are awful.
