Hi! I'm Christa and I'm married to a wonderful man named Daniel. I am pretty chill, somewhat reserved, and definitely quiet until I get to know you. I also have vertigo, so I avoid alcohol and smoking of all forms. I love nature and people - in fact, I got my PhD in Ecology studying human dimensions. Now I am an adjunct instructor at SNHU online, which is pretty sweet since I can go anywhere and work as long as there is an internet connection nearby. I am hoping to get into coaching so I can help out even more. Needless to say, I believe people are capable of helping each other out and making friends along the way. I guess that is why I am here on couchsurfing. Right now, we need a helping hand and I am looking forward to the day I can pay it forward!

My husband and I are wanting to move back to Colorado this spring, we are planning on the end of March. After moving to Wisconsin 1.5 years ago, we found out that the climate (humidity) and allergens here are not good for my health. So we are hoping to find someone with a corner for us to crash in, be it in a garage, basement, anywhere, as we find a place and work. Well, my work comes with me since it is remote. Daniel is in IT and always has recruiters calling him, but nobody wants to work with him until we are in-state. I am from Colorado, having lived in Denver, Montrose, Delta, Cortez and Dolores, so the mountains are home.

So we are really just looking for a break to help us get a foothold and re-established. It would be me, Daniel and our 2 dogs (~70-80 lbs) and a cat, so someone who is pet friendly would be great. They do stay crated when we are not with them, and we can take them for walks and to parks to help stay out of your way. My pup (the one in the photo) is also my semi-retired service dog. We are planning on putting our stuff in storage, so we really just need a corner to sleep in.
