ABOUT ME

Currently living and working in LA. Straight. Male. I love consuming and learning about wine/beer. I aspire to own a vineyard one day. I love coffee. I love dusk when the shadows start to get long because it means that night is coming. I love to be out at night. I love great food, as most everyone does, and I love finding great/surprising establishments with great people. I love golf. I love surfing. I love conversation...especially over wine or beer! It's really difficult to upset me. I love travel and I love the idea of CouchSurfing.

PHILOSOPHY

So cliche...but I usually try to imagine anything that I do as if aliens were watching. I would want them to think that I am a good representation of humanity...not perfect but a positive, generous, understanding, adventurous, joyful spirit.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to participate in CouchSurfing but I think it's probably one of the better ideas I've seen in a while. I am sure the World is a better place for having it around. As a hopeful CouchSurfer I would love to find a cool person who knows the local flavor, likes to get out and be a part of that flavor and is willing to let me buy them dinner in exchange for letting me be a part of their life for a little while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no specific experiences but I have many friends who have nothing but great stories. On a similar level, I have participated in a hand-full of Craigslist Rideshares and have never come close to having a negative experience. In fact, I have made friends that are very dear to me through those interactions. I imagine CouchSurfing being very similar, if not better!

Golf, surfing, conversation, drinking with conversation, coffee, good lighting, outdoors, indoors, playing guitar, playing piano, public transport, big cities, small towns, awkward moments, great food, spontaneity, discovering new music, seeing old friends, making new friends, smiles, other people's kids. Um...basically anything. :)

Life is an amazing thing to be seen and done. Every day. I can't remember the last time I went a day without being amazed. But if I must list one thing: Study Abroad...specifically the people that were a part of the experience.
