About Me

ABOUT ME

I cherish friendships. I like to be surrounded with cultured and interesting people. I am curious, love to read and share knowledges with other persons. I have travelled quite a lot in my life and intend to continue as long as I will be able to.

PHILOSOPHY

Be honest always with others and do not judge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be very much interested in accompanying visitors in Montreal and in Quebec; take them around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no couchsurfing experience yet although my name has been listed for a while. When I travel, I go to B&B's. I enjoy to be in contact with local people. We learn a lot from them.

Interests

I love culture: art, history, cinema, opera, classical music, reading, keeping in shape: walking a lot. I love nature, quietness. I love to share about different subjects from what I read. Travelling of course: it is how you see the world and by meeting nice people.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have launched, among wholesalers, South Africa here in Montreal in the years 1997. I have worked for that country and travelling there brought me an unbelievable experience. Mandela has a special place in my heart.

In 2001, I experienced the political troubles in Buenos Aires. We arrived there in the middle of a revolution. This is something I will never forget.

In summer 2012, in Guernsey, I visited Victor Hugo's residence. He is a figure I respect totally and being in his home got me extremely sensitive.

At the same time, after having seen the movie "Mission", I was able to meet, in Iguazu (Argentina) with a Guarani woman, those who had been abused in Paraguay and what we see in the movie. I was an extremely touching moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy sharing the languages with others. I do speak French, English and Spanish.
