I have a very open Spring and Summer of 2013, thus want to plan some crazy adventures around the world!

ABOUT ME

I am a student at a hippy-liberal arts college in Colorado Springs. I would classify myself as a hybrid between a Southern belle, a granola, and Shakira. I am starting a full-time job at the end of August, 2013, thus want to have lots of crazy experiences abroad before I am required to be in one place most days of the year. I enjoy learning about how other people live, and I love it when people branch out and make you feel welcome in a country you've never been to. I look forward to couchsurfing over these next few months, and then opening my own home next fall in Denver.

PHILOSOPHY

No one ever said it better than Dr. Suess: "Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!"

Also, a favorite quote I think we should all live by from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: "For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to couchsurfing, but was referred here by a friend who has had amazing experiences.

Interests

I am interested in travel, the outdoors, hiking, soccer/futbol, swimming (I am from Austin which is full of amazing lakes and springs, so I am in my element when I am in water!), museum-ing, eating/cooking, reading, learning new languages and napping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived abroad on my own a few times, in Argentina (when I was just a baby in high school), in Mexico (with my little sister for a summer) and in Chile (a study abroad program through my college). I am most proud of myself for this- sticking with a language to really become a part of a culture!
