Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to keep myself busy while following my husband from one engineering job to the next.
ABOUT ME
My friends call me an "Energizer Bunny", I guess because I like to work hard, organize and move furniture, do research on the internet, and have fun all day! They would say I am honest, dependable, maybe a little scatter-brained, sweet and friendly.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy: Coffee First; Something may be difficult but not impossible; Things happen for a reason and something good always comes from it; Treat others as you would like to be treated; Have fun. Don't talk to strangers?... gonna have to cross that one off the list!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband and I would like to try CouchSurfing! We would also like to host Surfers. When our kids were in high school, we had exchange students living with us, from Argentina, Germany, and Austria. Now we may get a chance to be "exchange students" and also host folks in our house!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have never CouchSurfed!! But my hubby and I need to travel the US so I can do first-hand geneology research, and we want to go to the UK together.
Centres d'intérêt
I like to do family geneology research , watch "Who Do You Think You Are?", go out to the movies, I like to sew quilts, go to National Parks on the weekend, I have finches and am building a big cage for them, I have a little dog that I like to brush and take for walks, I go to the gym almost every day and work out on the machines, I speak French and am learning Swedish, I like going to yoga class, cook Emeril Lagasse recipes, I like decorating with old furniture, I enjoy cleaning my house.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
One winter I rode the chair lift to the black run on the top of Mt. Hood in Oregon. When I got to the top, the wind was howling and blowing snow in my face so I couldn't see. I realized I had never been skiing before and didn't know how to get down. But I did!
Another time in the fall I was driving along a twisty road to the beach, and the wind was tearing masses of huge orange leaves off the overhanging maple trees and throwing them in whirls towards the car. It was so amazing and beautiful!
One night I was walking along the beach, between a huge driftwood bank and the pounding surf. It was pitch black and I didn't have a flashlight, but my eyes soon adjusted to the darkness and I could make out the white waves on my right and the bleached wood on my left. The ocean was roaring and appeared to be up higher than me, and every log I came across looked like a sea lion ready to bite! I turned around and ran back to the car!
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I could teach someone to knit (I even know how to knit socks... it isn't that hard!) I have yarn and knitting needles to loan out.
I can teach you how to research your family history.
I would love to practice my Swedish with a native speaker!
