to settle on a place to live without throwing a dart at a map
My boyfriend and I are NJ natives. I just moved back to the garden state from a 2 year stint in Boston, MA where I finished up grad school. I am now applying for jobs all over the US. I'm multi-talented, but would preferably like to work in journalism/documentary filmmaking. John just finished a year of teaching, and knows now that he does not want to be a teacher. He performs improv comedy and wishes he could make a living from it. We've tossed around a fantasy of owning a donut shop, but don't have much more direction than that... and I'm okay with that. We are both unemployed and looking for adventure/to make a living. We are planning a move somewhere in the US very soon, but have yet to pinpoint the place...
don't be stagnant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking for a host in Austin, TX while my boyfriend and I check out the scene and look at apartments. When I am in a position to host a couch, I certainly will.
Neither of us have couchsurfed YET, but we've heard good things.
John enjoys improvisational comedy, Christine likes cooking and painting.
- film making
Music, Movies, and Books
i enjoy documentaries (both watching and making) - my favorites being Harlan County USA and Grey Gardens. We both listen to a lot of hipster rock, but also enjoy oldies, blues, and hippie music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Rwanda for 3 weeks to shoot a documentary. East Africa is a beauty!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share a love of food, interest in environmentalism, filmmaking experience.. John can tell jokes on-call. I also know a cool magic trick involving turning a napkin into a chicken.
Countries I’ve Visited
Italy, Rwanda, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
