my current mission is to have FUN! I'm looking to re-ground myself and to re0find gratitude in the small things of life, in nature, and in the compassion and generosity of the universe and its people.

My husband says I'm an outgoing, lovely person, mature in behaviour and easy to get along with.
My daughter says:" loveable and cares a lot about me and other people." Go Mom!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

've travelled all over the world and have been fortunate to do so not as a tourist but for work and, most often, to work with people on the issues of their lives. This has given me the immense privilege of being privy to, even if only for a few weeks, to their everyday lives, their joys and challenges.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've no couchsurfing experience - there is a little bit of trepidation at trying this out, but am open to .... to trying new things and to trust in people!

Intereses

As a working mom i've not had much time to have interests it seems. but I love to run, meet people, spend time with my family and friends. And chat!
I've travelled a lot, all over the world and love to meet people in their own homes and lives and not to just pass by as a tourist does. I've been lucky to be able to travel the world helping people as both a international aid worker and as a humanitarian first-responder in some of the crisis of this world.

Now, I've left my job and am hoping to hike the Rideau Trail from Ottawa to Kingston ontario in Fall 2013.

I've slept under the stars in the Sahara at the Chadian/Lybian border; I've slept on a pile of bananas crossing Lake Victoria in Tanzania on my way to the Rwandan refugee camps. I've hiked the altiplano of Bolivia, and dived the Red Sea. I've negotiated mine fields and combattants in war zones. I've married an astronaut. Given birth to 2 kids.
so far, I'm having a great life!
