I am the wife of a financial planner and mother of two sons with autism—one of whom is a computer science major at the University of Nevada, Reno and the other who graduates from high school this year. We live in Las Vegas with our two rescued miniature schnauzers and are active in Canyon Ridge Christian Church.

After teaching middle school for awhile, I returned to school for my doctorate in educational technology. I finished in 2003 and began work as a visiting professor. I later moved to consulting and eventually chose to stay home while my children completed school.

While at home, I fell in love with triathlon and began extending my race distances. I've now completed five Ironman-distance (140.6 miles) races. I also challenged myself to hike by climbing Kilimanjaro and hiking 175 miles on the John Muir Trail (until I was stopped due to snow). I'm a very goal driven person.

I think I am an easy house guest—quiet and respectful—and would be grateful if you were to allow me to stay in your home while I explore this amazing world.
