I hope to explore the world in search of myself while leaving a positive impact on the communities i encounter.
I have the tendency to make fun of pretty much everything and refuse to take anything in life too seriously, but that doesn't mean that there aren't serious issues around us all the time, it is more important to dwell on the positives and laugh about what is bad than to get stuck in the muck of ill thoughts. I love life. I hate fill-in the blank boxes about myself where every sentence seems to start with "I." I like meeting new people. I farm. I play guitar. I love the environment and I do my best to take care of it. I enjoy off-grid homesteads. I ponder too much. As a human being, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time. My employment is seasonal Arts Festivals promotion, which gives me a great respect and appreciation for any and all hand made goods/arts/crafts. If you can make something with your hands, I want to watch/learn/experience.
Philosophies are for those with too much time on their hands, therefore I have many.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in Couchsurfing by occasionally hosting folks that wander through the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, but more so by getting travelers that I meet hooked on the idea of building a network of couches on trust and references.
My CS experience so far has been excellent. I've been hosted by so many excellent folks who are genuine and enjoyable, what a great community.
Music, art, documentaries, deep conversations, hiking, camping, exploration, learning, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
I watch a lot of documentaries. I listen to pretty much anything that is on an independent label.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once in Tennessee I saw a helicopter take off as another one landed right behind it. It was really incredible.
I also witnessed the most beautiful moment, a friends wedding. There was so much love and honesty.
Recently, in Nederland, Colorado, I was accidentally camping where there was a shooting range. The controversy stirred up the town and some were upset that they couldn't shoot there. The local supporters of our accidental occupation ended up delivering us pizza in elation of our presence. That was Amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Amateur, to me, means "lover of." Currently I am an amateur baker, musician, cook, gardener, wilderness explorer, and pouch designer. I am more than willing to share any knowledge and experience I have in these fields. I also hope to meet other folks who love many other things so that we can skillshare.
