About Me

current mission is to travel in Europe this summer - Greece, Italy, France & Spain

I am an easy going, laid back American guy; curious, adventurous, full of love and energy. I like to meet different kinds of people and hear their stories.

Like anyone on this site, I love to travel and experience different places, food, culture, and natural landscapes.

Keep it healthy and keep it real. Relax and enjoy the ride.

Learn as much as you can about yourself. When you know who you are, you stop worrying about meaningless stuff and learn how to really appreciate life. Forget all that insecurity and self-consciousness. It's just extra baggage.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done a lot of backpacking in Asia, as well as Central/South America and just a little in Europe.

I did WWOOF Japan for 6 months. I'm ok to work or volunteer as part of travelling.

I'm new to couchsurfing.

Photography, music (playing instruments + listening), film, and good novels. I do yoga, vipassana meditation, and regular exercise. I like riding my bike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Coen Brothers, PT Anderson, Richard Linklater, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Lately I listen to a lot of lounge, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, dub, and various world/ethnic.

I love some classics like John Steinbeck, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, as well as new people like Chuck Palahnik and Tom Robbins. I love reading science fiction lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I wandered into the Hazrat Nizam-ud-din Dargah mosque in Delhi, India. That was crazy interesting. So different from Western culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach English, music instruments (piano, guitar, drums), or photography. For the hardcore curious who want to learn something academic, I can teach math or economics.
