About Me

On a musical and creative sabbatical across the States, starting at SXSW!

I'm a 24 year old musician/graphic designer living in Sydney, Australia. I currently front and write for two bands, a psych rock/dream pop band called Cull and an alternative rock band called Polar Knights.

I'm also a mid-weight graphic designer. Most of my design experience has been in editorial publishing but have recently delved into the music festival circuit, having just worked for a year as head designer at Fuzzy Events (purveyors of Parklife, Field Day, Shore Thing at Bondi).

I'm also an avid gamer. I think the only muscles in my body are in my hands really. I suppose my eyes too cause I blink a lot.

I'm constantly looking for inspiration even if it does come randomly. If I'm not affected by an experience immediately I'm almost certain it will come back at a later date!

Only sleep if you want to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a couch surfing newbie, but because I'm attempting to build my crippled social skills I think this is a huge step forward and am keen (and equally terrified) to get involved!

Music, Movies, and Books

Really into psych rock at the moment, new and old. I melt to dream pop and shoegaze. Some bands I'm frothing to at the moment: Beach House, Tame Impala, Deerhunter, Slowdive, The Horrors, Pond, Warpaint.

Jazz is probably second to psych rock!

I love Studio Ghibli animations. In particular, Totoro!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Studio Ghibli animation museum in Japan and not crying.
