About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting to know the USA for the day I eventually move here (fingers crossed), and meeting mad cool people along the way!

ABOUT ME

Very outgoing, talkative, easygoing. I'm a law/economics student and a waitress/bartender to pay for school but I pretty much just want to be a winemaker. I love meeting new people and quite often I will be treating you as if we've known each other for years, 10 minutes after meeting.

PHILOSOPHY

Never say no to trying anything (well, 99% of things)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm mostly meeting up with friends on this trip to the US, but none of them could make it to Portland, so I thought - instead of lone-ranging and talking to myself, why don't I take the chance to meet some locals and possibly make some great new friends?

Interests

I'm actually a bit of a geek so I love learning about food, wine, music, history and geography through the lens of travel. Also love meeting interesting people with stories to tell, hip-hop, train trips, playing sports, books where you aren't supposed to like the protagonist, detective TV shows, and generally being fairly spontaneous.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm terrible at watching movies. I manage about 3 per year, including on TV! I finally got around to seeing the Usual Suspects yesterday, does that count?

Bloc Party, Maximo Park, Kasabian, Caribou, Odd Future, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, Death Cab For Cutie, Bombay Bicycle Club, De La Soul, Nick Cave, Kendrick Lamar...

To Kill a Mockingbird, most things by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Anthony Bourdain, The Sportswriter, lots of interesting autobiographies, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Plaza de Espana in Seville. Simply the most beautiful and elaborate building I could ever imagine.

Landing at JFK for the first time. I've been wanting to come to the US for years and finally made it.

Bungee jumping in Queenstown, New Zealand - self explanatory!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Greece, Indonesia, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada
