About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel for six months through Japan, China, Russia and Eastern Europe before ending up in London for Christmas on the ultimate couch, my mums!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in London England and studied Art before deciding to make the move to Australia. I've loved living in Oz these past five years. I've had some amazing experiences living a completely different life style and meeting my husband. I always feel most alive just before I embark on a new travel experience. I think I must have some gypsy in my genes because I feel most at home on the road. For me life is about gaining as many different experiences as possible and hopefully making someone else's world a better place for having known you.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a greeny, a lefty and a romantic. I think the most important lesson religion has for us is to love each other and respect the environment. The philosophy I most identify with is absurdism, there may be no ultimate meaning to life but that doesn't mean we shouldn't embrace the shear joy of existence. Live life like you'll never have another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd really love to travel around Japan and China this year and meet some great new people while staying in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hong Kong and Beijing. I would also love to host a couch surf of my own one day but i'll need to stop nomading around first. Hopefully in the future my couch will be open to the universe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed yet but i'm very excited to give it a try and meet some wonderful new people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the classics, Dumas, Flaubert, Tolstoy, Zola.
Also fantasy; Robin Hobb is a genius, goddess I can't give her enough love. I will read another of her luscious trilogies as soon as I get over the emotional devastation of the last one.
The best book i've ever read has to be Hopscotch by Julio Cortazar. The blurb says, this book gains in meaning the more time you read it throughout your life. The first time I read it was at 18 so now at 28 it's time for another read. I'm taking this one in my rucksack.
