I'm just finishing up a year of studying abroad in Lyon, France. It's been an amazing experience! Coming all the way from Australia, I'm keen to explore as much as I can while I'm here! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Media and Communications and French. I'm a vegetarian (but I don't have anything against people who aren't!), an environmentalist and I love to travel. I chose to go to France because I have French heritage and I love the language. But I am really passionate about sustainability, independent media and education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people, learn about other cultures and get to know locals. I have had some great experiences showing people around in Melbourne and going to CS events. In Paris there is a CS event during the summer called Picnic du Jour and it's a picnic in a different place each day. Last summer I found myself in Paris by myself and I went to the picnic every day for a week. It was so much fun and I met so many great people!
Unfortunately I can't host at the moment because I'm living in a share house with 5 people, we don't have any spare mattresses and for some reason, we have couches that are too small to sleep on :(

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book at the moment is Just Kids by Patti Smith. I'm currently reading Tess of the d'Urbervilles. I'm pretty open to all kinds of books!
I love all kinds of movies and I'm always willing to watch something new! I really liked I Love Huckabees, Samsara & Barkaka, a french film called Love me if you Dare, but I love all sorts of films!
Music is a tough one.... there's so many things to list! Recently I've been listening to Talking Heads, Alex Ebert, Macy Gray, Jain, Tame Impala, Grimes etc
