About Me

I am cheerful person. I love hanging out with friends, and getting to know new people and learn about new cultures!
One of my passions are languages and cultures. It’s so awesome how in this little planet we are that reach in different cultures! I love it.
My other passions are theatre, music, literature and reading. I like writing and drawing too. But, anyway, I love anything concerning art and self-expression.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, it’s because a friend of mine has suggested me this website. I am not that used to travel, for economic reasons, and this is a very useful way to travel and get to know new cultures and life-styles!

Interests

Theatre: I love acting, I haven’t tried it in a professional way yet, but my idea is to start soon. I love going and seeing shows at theatre too. My favourite playwrights are Shakespeare (of course), Molière, Beckett, Pirandello, Pinter ... among many others that don’t come to my mind now... (sorry). I like musicals too!

Music: listen to anything that makes sense.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: listen to almost everything, even if I prefer songs that say something! I mean, I could hear anything, really, but what I am really fond of is a singer, who is also a poet. (ex: Jeff Buckley, Johnny Flynn...)

Books: I prefer to read in the language a book is written, as well as films! Read anything without prejudices and then decide if I liked it or not. My ‘cult’-book is “The Outsiders”, I don’t know why, but I think it’s because I’ve read it when I was 14 and felt the same things the protagonist felt and I have good memories of that story. Then, I loved “Suite Française” very much too, and also “La coscienza di Zeno” and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every year I and the folkloristic group I am in organise a cultural festival where group of dancers and music players from all over the world come in our town and show their dances to the Italian public of the area.
I think it’s amazing, I am sorry if I’ve let you down, but anyway, during their period of stay (6-8 days) we make new friends and know so many things about their cultures and countries, that you could say you went in Mexico, Japan, Ossetia, Papua New Guinea...

What I Can Share with Hosts

My culture and my cuisine! I can cook Italian food very well and I am very keen on new recipes as well, so I know some specialties from all over the world!
