About Me

I am a master student writing an essay in the fields of art / visual anthropology / new medias. I'm currently working on memory and landscape as a new direction taken by artists and documentary filmmakers to deal with crimes against humanity.

I have a passion for cinema and anthropology.

I spend most of my free time in cinemas. With friends, I often go to concerts and bars. I also love cooking. On holidays, I like hitchhiking, trekking, camping, and experiment all kinds of travellings. To me, travelling is a very specific experience -almost political. It's indeed a new way to interact with peoples, with money, and a new way to feel and live the time and the elements (rain, sun, wind). In Japan I travelled for two months doing hitchhiking and wild camping, and it was a bit like an ascetic life experience, and at the same time a way to overcome mass tourism.

Whether traveling or sedentary, I enjoy spending time with people, I like to discover alternative, creative places, and places that struggle to offer a bold vision of art or life.

I can also appreciate a simple walk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess, as everyone here, I understood it was an easy way to meet locals and then to have an unique experience of the country. Indeed, more than the beautiful sights, my main motivation in a country is its people.

Interests

I like to drag myself in random streets and outside the beaten path, I like to meet people, discuss personal experiences, ideas, arts and politics. Listening is key.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finish my teenage years "on-the-road" in Europe and Asia.

Being a student in Toulouse, doing theater, and having a large circle of friends, from different majors and countries, to dream and party with.

A trekk of 11 days in France.

A trip in moped from Sète (south of France) to Netherlands at 40km/h during 10 days.

Doing hitchhiking, wild camping all these years.
