i've decided i would rather have a bunch of wonderful moments punctuated by wonderfully terrible ones than live life in a state of comfort every moment of the day.
i studied anthropology and would like to satisfy my curiosity regarding people and the multitude of ways there are to live a life on this planet by seeing and meeting as many different people from as many different places as possible.
i love music, dancing, giant trees, swimming in the ocean, riding my bike down big hills, cooking, taking photos, writing, surfing, smelling roses, tasting unfamiliar foliage, unexpected conversations with strangers, being humbled, the uncertainty that accompanies travel, people who make me laugh and who can laugh at me, people-watching, sleeping in hammocks, drinking wine, reading, and creating personal profiles on the internet (okay, only one of the above is a lie).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i love my home. i live downtown vancouver, two blocks from the beach, 10 minutes from one of BC's most beautiful parks (Stanley), and 5 minutes from almost any service your heart may desire.
i'm interested in hosting people who are considerate, engaging, and fun. the best visits to new cities have always involved a local tour guide and a real home to stay in, so i want to share that same experience with someone visiting vancouver for the first time.
Music, Movies, and Books
the unbearable lightness of being.
the bell jar.
on the road.
the catcher in the rye.
east of eden.
the brief wondrous life of oscar wao.
almost all music, and i always have something playing.
