Keep travelling! Maybe find a job ( maybe) , working for the protection of the planet and animal welfare.
i'm 36 , i just came back from a 1 year world tour . I've got the virus of travelling now and want to backpack the world again in the years to come.
I couldn't force myself to apply for a "regular" job after this amazing year abroad so for the moment i volunteer in a refuge for abandonned dogs and i truly do love it . I know that my life is there , protecting the animals and fighting for their rights and preservation .
I'm an easy going person but as all the breton people i've got a strong temper ! :)
I feel much better surrounded by animals than humans but i love to meet new people sharing cultures and experiences .
I prefer a hammoc with a good book in the middle of nature to a crowded party place but i will never say no to a caipirinha in a latino bar !
Be yourself , don't pretend.
I learnt a lot about myself especially during my trip and i met buddhism in Asia , i'm not into any kind of religion but i really felt the positive effects of zen philosophy on my inner self , i'm more relax, quiet and peaceful and i'm not afraid to be myself anymore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the moment i'm just looking for a couch to surf averywhere in the world or even just meet travellers to share experiences and a good beer but i'm working hard to convince my flatmate to offer our couch to exhausted but enthousiastic backpackers!
Just one for the moment in Cajamarca in Peru , one of the best moment of my trip : my couchsurfer brought me to a clandestine bar where we had a lot of fun playing games and drinking a very personnal cocktail!
travelling of course ( i completely fell in love with south America and left my heart there) , i read a lot , wildlife and especially hyenas ( yeah weird i know but they are so cute!) , what else ? having wine and cheese for dinner , the all blacks , trekking , diving ...
Music, Movies, and Books
True fan of Oscar Wilde ( reading The Picture of Dorian Gray was a pure moment of grace!) , i'm also an Harry Potter maniac , Amélie Nothomb, John Connolly and so much more! I don't listen to music too much , epends on the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Zimbabwe i got surrounded by a herd of about 400 buffalos in the middle of the night ( we were camping outside) , we couldn't see each other just the shadows but both of us knew the others were there. The sound, the smell and the tension on both parts were incredible! The day after we saw an attack from the lionesses on this same herd from the top of a hill , we couldn't believe it it's so rare to see something like that! Magical moments forever in my mind.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new skills so i would be delighted to learn how to build a house of clay for example or carve the wood, or make a dreamcatcher , anything actually oh and learn new languages . As for me i'm not bad now at backpacking so i can share a few tricks , i can milk a cow also not sure it's very useful in everyday life but damn it's so cool!
