About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To avoid a regular, mundane life.
ABOUT ME
I've always been the one who is a little different. Thinks different from the norm, acts against society. And it's not because I'm crazy. It's because I hate the pressure society puts on young people to fit an "acceptable" form. The whole, graduate high school, immediately enter higher education for 4-8 years, marry by 25. My dream is to travel, to do things I might never get to do again. I'm constantly being told it's financially impossible, which only makes me believe it can be done! I want to see, feel, experience the world, society be damned.
PHILOSOPHY
~Know yourself in a crowd, blending in is for smoothies.
~Popularity is overrated, geek is the new chic.
~Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
~Don't let anyone tell you who you are. It just gets confusing in your head when you start questioning who you were before they said that.
~When you're embarassed about something, take in the moment, then let it go. You're not so special that it's only ever happened to you.
~Question everything. Why is this fad a fad? Who could possibly think that fanny packs are ever okay?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to couch surf soon, but I need to make sure I have enough money that I don't end up penniless when/if I ever return. I would be happy to show people around my area and answer questions. (I live in an amish community) (I myself am in NO way amish)
Interests
I like skittles. I haven't yet explored the full range of my interests. I do know I enjoy studying psychology, and medical topics. I like reading books, but I have to admit, I judge them by their cover, and this hasn't led me astray yet. I enjoy watching tv and movies, memorizing funny quotes to be used later. I enjoy creating awkward situations just to observe how people react. I've found it's a good way to tell if I'm going to like someone.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love every genre of music, with the strong exception of country. I like to curl up with a good, thought-provoking book. My favorites include Shakespeare, all of Edgar Allen Poe's works, The things they carried, Blue like jazz and I am america (and so can you). I love watching movies. Comedies by far are my favorite, with psychological thrillers a close second.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think I have yet to do this.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can't really teach anything in particular. Music wise, I play piano (self-taught), flute, piccolo and bassoon, but could only teach you basics because I wouldn't trust myself with more. I could tell you stuff about the amish and the area I live in, which many people mistake to be "interesting" :P
