About Me

Former mountain trail guide that loves music, culture and escaping the hustle of corporate Canada. I can share some stories of wildlife encounters and even saving a maiden from being swished away by a waterfall. I also consider myself among the lucky few who won a battle with a mountain... and by that I mean I fell from a ridge and survived to tell the tale (over coffee or drinks of course)!

I've always had ambitions to travel and immerse myself in the cultures of the world. Now that I have completed university and my career has started, I'm able to begin my travels and hope to start filling my passport with stamps!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really just want to meet the people of the world and hear their stories of life in a foreign (to me anyways) world. I also hope to share some of my experiences to return the favour.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Icelandic artist Sigor Ros, his music is just wonderfully pleasant. Earnest Hemmingway is a closet vice for literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope to begin filling my life with these stories! To date the most unique job I've held is a mountain trail guide in Waterton, AB for numerous summers. This is what first introduced me to people and cultures of the world as they would come to see the Rocky Mountains and we would share stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some wilderness survival tips, and also about green energy. I work in the power generation industry with some unique projects and would love to share and discuss the future of this industry!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Jovial conversation and good laughs. I have some stories of my time guiding however I'm relatively "green" and new to travelling the world.

I have a background in the sciences so I can share a few facts on numerous topics from space travel, black holes and even a little insight into the quantum world. I'm also involved in the green energy initiatives going on in Canada and Alberta.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, United States
