I was raised partially in the small town of Cambria and partially on a boat in Central America. From those early sea faring experiences I came to seek adventure and travel and from growing up in the woods I feel at home in nature. Therefore the majority of my twenties has been spent wandering and exploring often in the wild places. I love all forms of artistic expression and enjoy an eclectic mix of music. I find it easy to get along with pretty much anyone. It's always great to meet new people and see how they live there lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't had a place for people to crash in a while but I have been fortunate to be hosted by a few.
Art, music, bicycles, crafts, books, wilderness, swimming in rivers and oceans and anything else that seems good.
Music, Movies, and Books
A very eclectic mix.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a program that placed westerners on the farms of the self sufficient Ladakhi people. The state of Ladakh in India is high in the Himalayas, the people subsist largely off of the barley that they grow in their terraced fields. The water that feeds the crops comes directly from the snow capped mountains in a clear frothing river which is diverted through intricate channels. There I spent a month living with a family and helping to tend to their fields. Modernization has brought the roads and promises of a new way of life but with it has come trash and poverty in a place that never knew of such things.
