ABOUT ME

Born and brought up in Belfast.
Moved to Enschede, the Netherlands in 2001 to do a phd - am still trying to finish it. Have been having too nice a time to focus too much on study.
Have tried a hand at a few sports and hobbies - taekwondo, salsa, tango, horse riding... don't bother anymore but keep promising myself I will go back!
Love meeting new people - enjoy nice company, nice food and some wine to go accompany them ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Want to begin slowly - let people stay here, or meet up for drinks - and then to go travelling and stay with others.
Also wouldn't mind picking up a few words in a few languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all kinds of movies - from mafia types - Godfather Casino etc to Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins. Also trying to watch more foreign movies.
Am currently loving German films - The Downfall - The lives of Others, Goodbye Lenin and some more.
Love all kinds of music too - current favourites - Arcade Fire, The Frames and Amy Winehouse.
