About Me

I'm a young theatre maker from the East of England who is aspiring to become a self-sustainable practitioner and performer in the near future. My interests are very broad, particularly in regards to art, and am always looking to learn new things! Environmental sustainability and awareness is at the core of my interests, and for the past year I've been vegetarian in an attempt to reduce my impact on the environment. I am deeply fascinated by history and culture, so I'm always looking to learn about the places I visit in great detail.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is so much of the world that I haven't experienced and, therefore, wish to do so by connecting with the people who live in the areas I want to visit. I will learn more about beliefs and ideas through conversations with these people who are readily available on Couchsurfing. I'd love to travel around the cities with my hosts and experience the niches of their culture and history.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book at the moment is 'Who You Hear It From' by Simon McBurney which is a compilation of some of his essays that describe the inspiration behind his work with Complicite theatre company. Donnie Darko has to be my favourite film and the soundtrack for it is incredible. My music taste is incredibly eclectic: ranging from rock/metal to 80s party hits through to Jeff Buckley and Wild Nothing. I'm always open to new music and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've performed at the largest arts festival in the world, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with a semi-professional theatre company. They practice a form of movement theatre which emphasises natural movement and dance. It was an empowering and inspiring piece of theatre which has pushed me in direction of theatre making and performing.
