ABOUT ME

I love travelling but rarely get the time or the money to do it as often as I would like.

Generally I'm kind of shy until I know the person a little better but then it's pretty much good times all round :-)

I like to think of myself as easygoing and friendly, but then again wouldn't we all?

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in Karma!

That and don't stress the small stuff too much-it will shorten your lifespan! So what if you miss the bus...another will come.

I think Australia has some of the most beautiful landscapes and wildlife in the whole world. The desert is especially beautiful and it's a shame because not many people get to or want to see it!

Never pay retail and go off the beaten track.

I believe in going to a country and living like the people do. I'd never imagine going to a non-english speaking country and expecting everyone to speak english because that's an arrogant POV! I have tried to learn at least enough of the language to get me by and talk to to locals of the countries I go to. I hate the thought of being labelled a 'tourist' because I associate those people with rich white people who go to take photos and sleep in their hotels and don't want or have to interact with the locals. Also am not interested in package tours for the duration of a trip. I did that once when I was too young to have any say in the issue...and never again.
